Alexei Mochalov is a principal soloist with the Moscow State Chamber Musical Theatre under direction of Boris Pokrovsky.

The People's Artist Of Russia.



He graduated from the vocal department of Moscow State Conservatory (Prof.G.Titz)


Mr.Mochalov has sung practically all leading parts of repertoire in performances: Don Giovanni, Figaro (Le Nozze di Figaro), Zarastro ( Magic flute), Seneka (Monteverdi Lincoronazione di Poppea), Zeasar and Himenei in the Haendels operas, Umberto (Pergolesis La Serva- Padrona), Blansac (Rossinis La Scala di seta); Falstaff ( Nikolais Merry Wives of Windsor) , Cherevik (Mussorgskys Fair at Sorochinsk); Nick Shadow (Stravinskys Rakes progress), Gremin (Tchaikovskys Eugene Onegin) and Tibo (Tchaikovskys Orlean Virgin) etc.


Heappeared a lot as a guest performer both in Russian and abroad and performed with Maestri V.Spivakov, G.Rozhdestvensky, V.Polyansky, K.Penderezky, M.Arena, M.Gorenstein, E.Kolobov, K.Orbelyan, A.Rudin, etc.


Alexei Mochalov toured in the largest cities of Europe, South-East Asia, Latin America. Articles in the newspapers of Germany, Japan, Argentina, Brazil, Great Britain, France, Spain, Holland noticed in the Alexei Mochalovs talent a wonderful combination of great singing and stage possibilities with the fantastic actors art.


Alexei Mochalov is the professor of Gnessins Russian Academy of Music and Musical College of Moscow Conservatory. Among his students - the winners of International contests. He hells Master-classes in Brazil and Japan. A.Mochalov also is the soloist of First Russian Enterprise of Musical Theatre. He performs in "MOZARTime or Don Giovanni's Fantasias" by Mozart and "The Bear" by W.Walton.


He had a participation in the Charity concert of World Economic Forum in Davos (Switzerland), in Yuri Bashmet International music festival in Tour (France), in Vladimir Spivakov X International music festival dedicated to Fiodor Schalyapin in Colmar (France), in Gala-concert at Hannover EXPO-2000, Recital in Palace of United Nations in Geneva (Switzerland), Recitals at International Music Festival dedicated to 200-Anniversary of A.Pushkin in Russia and Israel, X International music festival Saint-Petersburg Palaces, International Musical Festival Europalia-2005 in Belgium and many others.


A.Mochalov made debut in Carnegie Hall at the 10th of November 1997 and in Santa Cecilia Academy's Concert Hall in Rome in December, 1997.


He was awarded Diapasone Dor premium for his solo CD Schostakovich Songs from The French sound records magazine Diapasone.He took part in performance of mono-opera Moses by V.Kobekin which was awarded the National Theatre Premium The Golden Mask.
